For  some of the best halibut fishing Alaska has to offer, Discover Alaskan Adventures fishes in lower Central Cook Inlet from Ninilchik, Alaska (Deep Creek).  You will fish aboard one of four 28’ cabin cruisers with private toilet facilities. All tackle, bait and lures are included in the price of the charter.  These vessels comfortably fish six people maximum.  We have been fishing and chartering in Cook Inlet full-time since 1991. We only travel 8 to 20 miles out and fish in waters 100’ to 195’.  We will fish in 250+ waters, but only at the clients’ request.

We fish one tide cycle per trip so our departure times are different each day.  If the tide times fall correctly, some days we will have two departure times.  Our trips generally last 6 ½ to 7 hours., but we only travel 45 minutes to an hour to the fishing grounds; so there is adequate time to wear your arms out catching fish.  Food and beverages are not provided so be sure to bring plenty with you.

At the end of your trip we will fillet your catch at no charge. We can also vacuum pack, freeze and ship your catch anywhere in the US at Charter boat rates.  These rates vary by year but have for the last several years stayed under .95 cents per pound for vacuum packing and freezing plus Fed-Ex shipping rates.

If you have all ready caught fish on your trip to Alaska you may bring it with you and we will put it in our walk-in freezer, at no cost, until you are ready to leave the Ninilchik area.

We can also pack your fish in “airplane ready” boxes so you can take your catch home on the airplane if your schedule allows. Excess baggage fees are still more reasonable than Fed-Ex shipping.

We would be glad to book lodging or RV parking in Ninilchik at your request.  Due to our volume you will receive very competitive rates for lodging or RV parking.

If a trip is cancelled due to weather conditions and you can’t reschedule, we will issue a full refund.
