Alaskan Bush Lodge
After returning to Big Dave’s after a full day of fishing, you’ll have the opportunity to relax on the front porch overlooking the Kichatna River. Here you can relate the day’s adventures with friends & family while enjoying a cool refreshing drink.
Old-fashioned hospitality abounds when everyone gathers in the lodge for a hearty, homecooked meal, where dishes are pepared “from scratch” and served in Alaskan size portions. Specializing in a variety of breads and desserts baked fresh, you’ll see why Leslie’s food is famous.
Along with the lodge there are 2 cozy log style cabins, one that sleep 4 and one that sleeps 2. These cabins have comfortable twin size beds, warm clean linens and are equipped with a wood stove. There is a community shower house and sauna. We also have an enjoyable fire pit for you to relax and enjoy after a long day of fishing with friends.
Enjoy Alaskan style, home cooked meals including fresh baked bread and homemade desserts. After dinner play a game of horseshoes or watch a movie. You can even check the Burbot line and fish from the bank for a bit of midnight sun entertainment.
Kichatna River, Alaska
Big Dave’s Alaskan Bush Lodge is located on the Upper Kichatna River, just on the edge of Denali National Reserve. Our remote location allows us to fish over a dozen clear water streams loaded with all 5 species of Pacific Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and Arctic Grayling. Some of these streams aren’t even located on a map. We will take you to places very few people have ever fished. It’s a real Alaskan experience for the true outdoorsman.
Big Dave Manners and his wife Leslie have many years experience in the area. We know how to insure that trip of an lifetime. We are a small personal outfit with a very high client return ratio.
